Each and every one of our enamelware is made by hand at our factory in Japan. The products go through a number of processes, from molding the iron plate to make the material, to applying the glassy glaze and baking it. Because they are made by hand, they cannot be mass-produced, but if you look closely, you can see that each piece has a slightly different look and feel. Try heating milk or other liquids over a gentle fire. You may find it becomes a little mellower.
