Analog Cycles has these Wald Half Baskets cerakoted right here in Poultney Vermont by a wildly overqualified cerakoter named Matt.  We've been cerakoting baskets in fun colors since 2017, back before the world even knew what color was.  Computer monitor displays were some weird green and black, cell phones were the size of ancient rock tablets and twice as heavy, the only electric cars were remote controlled and required ten C cell batteries, and gluten didn't exist.  It was a dark time.  Then we introduced cerakoted stuff, and retinas were burned.  The world was not ready.  Now it's barely ready, but you, dear internet peruser, are obviously ahead of the curve. 

We do like full sized Wald baskets.  The ole 137 and Wald 139 are good for big stuff, like a big jello casserole or 30 hohos.  Or Swiss Rolls if you are being cheap.  But they’re a bit tall 'n heavy for other applications, like holding a bag or a stuff sack. So Wald started to make this half basket. It’s roughly 1 can of Schlitz lighter than a full basket. Made in the good ole US of A.  Kentucky in fact. 

Perfect for bike commuting, bike touring, bike packing, or do what James does, and use them for all of those things AND to organize printed emails on his incredibly messy desk.  There's a basket with a label that says: fuck that, another that says 'ehh maybe I'll respond', and one that's simply called 'black hole'. Not really.  I do use these for office work, but the baskets say things like: order, customer emailed, cerakote.  

The Wald Racer / Half Basket come with no hardware, so go get  to strap em to your front rack.  Double up the zip ties for extra strength.  Get at least 6 of them, but 8 is better.  Don't get the little ones, you want the big ones for baskets.   The wee ones are for cable management.  

The medium Wald 137 Half Basket is about 2 5/8" tall, and the Width at the top of the rail is 14 1/4, the depth 9 1/4".  That's 6.5cm x 36cm x 23.5 cm.
